DAY PROGRAM
Our day program operates Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3pm with extended care available until 6:00pm (see below).
This includes morning and afternoon snack, along with a lunch that the participants help prepare and cook!
The Inclusions center is equipped with a sensory area with books and beanbag chairs for quiet entertainment and to aid in self regulation! For those times when we want to be a little less quiet, music and karaoke, dance, Zumba and drumming are also on the calendar! We have a multitude of tabletop activities that promote conceptual and tactile experiences all day long.
Every week we go on field trips to do various activities such as bowling, swimming/splash pad, yoga, the park, and many more. This will allow participants to experience the community in a way that is accessible and group oriented.
Everyday we work on growing our independence with life skills such as grocery shopping, budgeting, gardening, cooking, along with countless others activities that will enhance our abilities.

Participants will use our center which is equipped with many table top activities such as puzzles, games, art supplies, and more. There is also a sensory area with beanbag chairs and books for quiet entertainment. Additionally, we will work on developing various life skills such as cleaning, cooking, gardening, and more. PROGRAM BENEFITS

Meals and Snacks
Inclusions Programs include food! Eating is one of the most important parts of the day and it is an important aspect of care. We will serve two snacks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and a lunch. These meals will be versatile and nutritious to expose participants to various types of food. The menu will change daily and make changes for dietary restrictions and food allergies.
Additionally, participants will assist in the preparing and serving of meals. This gives them the chance to learn how to set a table, how to prepare nutritious meals, and how to clean up after them. This is an important and valuable skillset that we will work on consistently.

Whoopi's Garden
Our location features the Whoopi Tansley Memorial Garden in honour of a local service dog. In here, we will grow fruits and vegetables for the local food bank. This will give participants the opportunity to learn about growing and maintaining a garden. They will also be able to spend time out there in the warmer months.
Community Involvement
Inclusions partners with other local businesses to give participants unique and fun experiences. We would like to do community outings such as walks along the beautiful Grand River, playing at nearby parks, using the Caledonia pool and splash pad, and many more. Additionally, we will have businesses come into our facility to provide activities. Some examples of this are having Haldimand County Therapy Dogs come in, doing a group Zumba or Yoga class, and having frequent music/art therapy. These activities will provide participants with interesting activities presented in a way that is completely inclusive to them.
